Where we work in Hale
Hale village and Hale Road — large detached and semi-detached property, much of it Edwardian and inter-war, most of it extended. Full rear elevations in one system.
Hale Barns and Ringway — substantial modern and rebuilt detached houses on large plots. Wide multi-pane runs, sliding patio doors with slim interlocks, integrated blinds, flush thresholds and matching aluminium windows across the whole back of the house.
Bowdon edge, Altrincham and Timperley — see Altrincham.
What separates a good quote from a cheap one
Since this comes up on nearly every Hale job, here’s what to actually compare when you’ve got three quotes side by side:
The thermal break. Is the profile genuinely thermally broken, and what U-value is quoted for the whole door — not the glass alone?
The gear. Rollers and track material, and their rated load. This is what determines whether the door still works properly in year twelve, and it’s the first thing cut on a cheap quote.
The locking. How many engagement points, on which leaves, and what cylinder rating on any door with a cylinder.
The threshold. Low or rebated, and what the drainage detail is. A flush threshold with no drainage on an exposed elevation will leak eventually.
Who’s fitting it. Employed installers, or a subcontracted team the company has never met. We fit our own.
What the guarantee actually covers, and for how long. Ours is 10 years on every installation.
